There’s only one first class.

Rarely are we presented with the opportunity to do something historic in our lifetime. The first class of Fr. Price Catholic High School will be pioneers, remembered for the trail they blaze as founding students. What clubs will our students establish? Who will be the first ever class president? What mascot will they create for athletics? And when their journey at Fr. Price Catholic is nearly through, how will they speak to this remarkable leadership experience on university applications?

Make History.

Our founding principal.

Fr. Price Catholic is excited to announce that Mr. Dennis Fleck will be the school's Founding Principal. Mr. Fleck will lead the development of the school calendar and curricula as our facilities open in preparation for an inaugural class of students in fall of ’26.

Mr. Fleck has over 45 years of experience in education. After working in his home state of Kentucky, he moved to Wilmington, NC where he worked at Hoggard and Ashley High School from 1981 to 2011. During this time he served as a teacher, coach, athletic director, assistant principal, and for a short tenure as interim principal at Ashley HS. As an original staff member at Ashley HS, he was involved in organizing the start of the new high school.  Those experiences have helped to prepare him to lay the foundation for our new Fr. Thomas Price Catholic High School.

In 2011, he moved to St. Mark School where he served as Athletic Director, Assistant Principal/Dean of Students, and for a period as Interim Principal. He retired from St. Mark School in July of 2022. Mr. Fleck personally attended Catholic schools from Grade 1-12 in Louisville, KY.
